Summer Classes offered:

  • Youth: 5-day course Week 1 (7/21-7/25, Mon-Fri) 9am-12:30pm
  • High School.: 10-day course (7/21-8/1, Mon-Fri) 2pm-4pm

Youth Course Objectives:

This drama program is designed to promote creativity, literacy, and self-expression in a non-competitive, ensemble setting. Utilizing text, theater games, improvisation, and stage fighting techniques, we will explore scenes from Twelfth Night. Pre-enrolled students receive 1 free ticket to at Shakespeare’s Associates’ summer production of Twelfth Night in Livermore. This experience is fun for everyone. No previous experience necessary!

Cost: $185 per student

High School Course Objectives:

This course is designed to take the fear out of Shakespeare and promote an exciting, engaging, and creative approach to the text.  With an emphasis on acting and performance, this course will broaden a student’s perspective on Shakespeare by utilizing improvisation, theatre games, and stage combat techniques.  Totally on-your-feet, very funny, and never dull, this course is designed to activate one’s imagination and brighten any student’s summer.  Students will rehearse scenes from Twelfth Night and receive 1 free ticket to the Shakespeare’s Associates production. Some students may be considered for minor roles in the production or perform a 10-minute skit pre-performance.  No previous experience required.
