Frequently Asked Questions

Picnic Under the Arbor at Concannon before the show!
Q: May I buy TICKETS AT THE DOOR?

A: IF tickets are available, of course! BUT, you must pay Cash or Check,
no credit cards at the door. Seating is limited at Concannon Vineyard,
so it is advisable to purchase tickets in advance.

And only tickets for that evening's performance will be available at the winery.

Q: Are CHAIRS provided?

A: Yes.  We provide ASSIGNED SEATS in chairs pre-set for you.  Do not
bring your own into the seating area of the stage.  There will be
seating spaces provided for those in wheelchairs.

Q: Can we bring ALCOHOL to Concannon?

A: Due to state laws, only alcohol bearing the label of the winery
can be consumed on the property.  (no beer, etc.)

Q: How is the PARKING?

A: Concannon Vineyard has a large paved parking lot available for
patrons.  There are Handicapped spaces right in front of the tasting
room.  There is a non-paved (dirt) parking area close to the entrance
gate for late-comers.

Q: Is it suitable for YOUNG AUDIENCES?

A: The director recommends ages 10 and up for A Midsummer Night's Dream,
and 14 and up for The Seagull. There is bawdy humor in all of Shakespeare plays,
but it’s in Elizabethan innuendo, so the kids don’t  usually get it.

Q: Can I EAT at the play?

A: Concannon has a large grass covered picnic area for our patrons to
use.  Feel free to bring a picnic dinner to enjoy before the show.
Picnic area opens at 6:00 pm.  Limited seating is available in the
picnic area, but you may bring lawn chairs of your own to use.
Concannon Vineyard will also sell wine and non-alcoholic beverages,
artisan cheese and other snacks in the tasting room.  Food and drink are
indeed allowed in the theater area, but the house does not open until
7:00 pm.

Q: Is there a DRESS CODE?

A: This is an outdoor event, so dress accordingly for the temperatures. It's "California Casual"
for most of us. Toss a jacket in the car, bring a sun visor. Shirt, shoes required, but you don't have to dress up.
