This summer we look at love – a passionate all-consuming
love sprung from the innocence of youth pitted against a
bitter hatred seasoned with age and ego. Romeo and
Juliet – a classic because it is all still true. When we are
young, we love because it is right to love. But as we get
older … In The Real Thing, one of the great minds of our
time explores the phenomena of love and passion. Do you
know “the real thing”? Is jealousy love? Is sympathy? What
fools will we make of ourselves to maintain our loving
relationships? What is required?
Join us for our eighth season of Shakespeare in the
Vineyard, a classic tragedy and a contemporary
comedic musing on a subject we all know at least
a little something about: Love. |
